Our practice and meet calendar is below. 

This is tentative and changes may occur due to coaching conflicts, home swim meets for high school teams, or inclement weather.

Practice Times

• Monday-Thursday from 6-8pm at South High Natatorium
  • Newer swimmers have specific nights of practice. This helps to ensure that our newest swimmers have plenty of coaching support to help guide their skills. The coach can give you more specifics based on your child’s tryout.
  • Experienced swimmers do not have to attend all 4 nights of practice. We know that families are busy with other activities so swimmers may come as their schedule permits.
• During the school year, when USD 305 does not have school, SAC does not practice.
• The Salina Aquatics Club website has our calendar posted.
• Canceled practices will be posted through our app or Facebook page.

Practice Expectations

• Coaches start practice with announcements and celebrations. Then the swimmers go down for stretching before swimming.
• Swimmers are expected to listen to and follow instructions from all coaches to ensure everyone’s safety and skill building.
• Attire and Required Gear
  • One piece swimsuit
  • Swim cap
  • Goggles
  • Kick board
  • Fins
• Swimmers should come to South with their suits under their clothing. SAC has access to a restroom, but not locker rooms.
• Parents are welcome to stay and watch practice. Parents, siblings, and friends are not permitted on the swim deck due to safety.
• Swimmers should bring a water bottle and a towel to practice. During winter months, it is important to have warm clothes to cover up with while entering and leaving practices.
