Hi everyone,

As in past years, the Salina South pool will be closing for maintenance during the month of July. Fortunately, we're excited to once again partner with Coach Breann to offer a special practice schedule in Concordia.

July Practice Schedule
Beginning Monday, practices will be held Monday through Thursday from 9:30–11:30 AM at the Concordia City Pool. There will be no practices in Salina during this time.

To maintain insurance coverage, normal SAC membership dues will continue as usual. In addition, swimmers will need to purchase a pool punch pass from the City of Concordia to access the facility. Punch cards are available through the City of Concordia website.

For families making the drive, you may want to coordinate carpools with other SAC families if it makes sense. While the club won't be organizing transportation, we encourage families to connect with one another if they'd like to share the driving.

We sincerely appreciate Coach Breann and the Concordia pool for making this opportunity available to our swimmers again this summer.

August Training Break
As we wrap up the long course season, we'll once again join many swim programs across the country in taking a strategic pause during the month of August.

While swimmers often look forward to a break, this pause serves an important purpose. It gives athletes time to recharge mentally, recover physically, and return to the pool excited for a new season. It also provides families an opportunity to enjoy vacations, prepare for the start of school, and gives our coaching staff time for planning, club organization, and preparing for the upcoming short course season.

We'll share more details as we get closer, but our plan is to resume practices after the start of the school year in September, beginning with a parent meeting and season kickoff.

Long Course Championship Meets
Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be reaching out individually to families whose swimmers have qualified for Long Course District and Championship meets. Entries for these meets are handled through a different system than our normal SwimTopia process, so there will be a little back-and-forth by email to finalize entries.
